People already work away on their laptops on flights, and being online won't really change that. Whereas, people being allowed to use cell phones could really make the flight experience a whole lot worse than it already is. [Person shouting on red-eye: "Yeah.... I'm on the plane now... Yeah... the beverage cart is just coming... I know, right? ... Seriously."] Of course, I'm a laptop user who doesn't have a cellphone, so I could be a little biased! ;) I'm much less concerned about in-flight wifi than I am about in-flight cell phone use.
