Yet in the article hyperlinked in this post, NPS rangers agreed that the presence of guns in parks has only ever brought gun carriers and innocent bystanders (including wildlife) to harm. Why would it be legal to CONCEAL a weapon but illegal to carry it OPENLY?? Also, the only reason I can think of to carry a gun in a national park is to protect yourself from bears... Since rifles and shotguns are still banned, what's the point?
