And the City of Memory site is amazing. Even though I'm not familiar with NYC at all, I can totally appreciate it. It's a perfect example of the fantastic potential of the Internet to connect people in an intimate, not at all "virtual," way. I'm obsessed with unreported histories of all kinds, anything that doesn't make it into the neatly packaged narrative that's peddled to us in school and by the media. Exposing yourself to forgotten stories helps demonstrate how truly complex our world is, and by extension how limitless the possibilities of this life are. Great title for this post! And the City of Memory site is amazing. Even though I’m not familiar with NYC at all, I can totally appreciate it. It’s a perfect example of the fantastic potential of the Internet to connect people in an intimate, not at all “virtual,” way.

I’m obsessed with unreported histories of all kinds, anything that doesn’t make it into the neatly packaged narrative that’s peddled to us in school and by the media. Exposing yourself to forgotten stories helps demonstrate how truly complex our world is, and by extension how limitless the possibilities of this life are.
