Okay, okay - bad pun, I know. But I couldn’t resist.

OurPlanet Retreats is pioneering a new form of eco-friendly tourist accommodation - spherical lodges suspended in trees, with the first locations planned for Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, and the Philippines - and the twist is, anyone can become a shareholder.

Know of any innovative eco-tourism projects? What’s the strangest place you’ve ever slept while traveling? Let us know in the comments!
