Ekua Impraim

San Francisco-based Ekua Impraim is a Matador member to keep your eye on.

When her favorite books were featured on MatadorGoods last week, I was intrigued.

Not by the selections, necessarily, but by this woman with a radiant smile sitting in a field of daffodils that stretched way back into the horizon.

I clicked through to her MatadorTravel profile, where I saw her fantastic screen name– Girl, Unstoppable– and learned we share some favorite musicians in common (Ani Difranco, Nina Simone, Zap Mama).

Then I clicked through to her blog, also titled Girl, Unstoppable, and was drawn in by its clean design, engaging font, and funny entries, like this one:

“The kids I work with are often full of hilarious and sometimes surprisingly insightful one liners. This week, a student said something about travel that made me smile and I knew I needed to post it here:

‘I like seeing new places, it makes you feel like a new person. Travelin’ be hella cool. I been everywhere- Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Las Vegas…’”

Ekua created Girl, Unstoppable to “inspire others (especially females) to be audacious adventurers.”

Welcome to Matador, Ekua!
