I am a fan of world music, and any music that brings someone closer to their roots -- it makes me prouder of where I came from. The fusion of western and eastern in music is so beautiful. Another Sri Lankan artist that I admire is <a href="http://www.delonmusic.com" rel="nofollow"> Delon, </a> he raps in the US and in Sri Lanka. He's a tsunami survivor and he raps about peace, unity and justice. I love the different feel of M.I.A’s music. I am a fan of world music, and any music that brings someone closer to their roots — it makes me prouder of where I came from. The fusion of western and eastern in music is so beautiful.
