Bill O’Reilly Shows Promise as Tourism Spokesman

Should Bill O’Reilly, the conservative US talk show host, ever find himself out of a job, perhaps Amsterdam might take him on as their tourism spokesman?

If I ever met Bill O’Reilly, I’d like to ask him about his travels.

His observations about the world just seem so astute.

He just discovered, apparently, that Amsterdam has long taken a liberal stance on drug use and prostitution.

Unfortunately, he hasn’t based any of his analysis about that stance on facts.

But a viewer from Amsterdam decided to set the record straight in this video:

Wow. That’s my usual dumbfounded reaction whenever I’m subjected to Fox News programming. What about the term “cesspool” do they consider “fair and balanced”?

Guarantee neither of those commentators had ever been to Amsterdam. Do they really think they can make such absurd, baseless comments and no one will call them out on it? I’m living with a dutch guy and he thinks what fox news says about Holland is funny. At least he has a sense of humor about it.

I keep telling people: American news programs are the funniest in the world, as long as you actually listen to what’s being said.

Great video response. I think hearing Amsterdam being referred to as a cesspool is hilarious.

Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in the world. O’Reilly is just full of crap as usual. He did this enlightening report on my home city, San Francisco: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6-Ci7DiQe4

His reporter wouldn’t be caught dead in the Presidio at night? WTF? I suppose they might be attacked by a squirrel.
And they kept calling North Beach our “Tenderloin.” Nope, the Tenderloin is the Tenderloin! They weren’t even trying.
