I remember when McDonald's first rolled out their "healthy options" menu (ha) I thought, why not just be what you are? Love it or hate it, McD's is not supposed to be about healthy options. Normally I'd be more then open to vegi and vegan options making a showing on a menu, I have friends who live such lifestyles and if I eat out with them, I like them to be able to make choices they are happy with when they order. However, I always respected the fact that at Kentucky Fried Chicken that's what you get, fried chicken, and if you don't like it, you go some where else. (Or have corn on the cob if you really must) It's not a position I'd normally take, but the fact KFC stuck to their guns impressed me. Now? Well it's the first step towards becoming just another fast food joint with nothing unique about it. I’m actually a little disappointed by this.

Normally I’d be more then open to vegi and vegan options making a showing on a menu, I have friends who live such lifestyles and if I eat out with them, I like them to be able to make choices they are happy with when they order.

However, I always respected the fact that at Kentucky Fried Chicken that’s what you get, fried chicken, and if you don’t like it, you go some where else. (Or have corn on the cob if you really must)

It’s not a position I’d normally take, but the fact KFC stuck to their guns impressed me. Now? Well it’s the first step towards becoming just another fast food joint with nothing unique about it.
